Civil Engineer
Role:
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:
- Design and develop civil engineering plans for the plant's infrastructure, including foundations, drainage systems, roads, and utilities.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to integrate civil designs with other systems.
- Review and analyze design drawings and construction plans for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.

Construction Management:
- Oversee the construction process to ensure that civil engineering works are carried out according to plans, specifications, and standards.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring that the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
- Monitor and supervise the construction site, ensuring that construction work adheres to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of all construction activities, including progress reports and compliance records.

Maintenance and Repairs:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for the plant's infrastructure, ensuring the longevity and reliability of buildings, roads, utilities, and drainage systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify areas that require maintenance, repair, or upgrade.
- Troubleshoot and resolve civil-related issues, such as structural problems, drainage concerns, and utility failures.

Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and building codes/regulations (local, national, and international standards).
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits of civil structures and infrastructure.
- Implement sustainable practices in the design and construction of infrastructure to minimize environmental impact.

Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and manage civil engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring that all milestones are met in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with various departments (production, maintenance, etc.) to minimize disruption to operations during construction and maintenance.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project completion.

Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between civil engineering and other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
- Prepare reports, technical documents, and presentations for management.
Qualification:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:
- Years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on industrial or manufacturing plant infrastructure.
- Experience in designing and constructing plant buildings, roads, drainage, utilities, and other civil infrastructure.
- Familiarity with construction management, contractor coordination, and site supervision.

Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar civil engineering design software.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, and construction methods.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for construction and infrastructure-related issues.

Additional Skills (preferred):
- Experience with structural analysis software.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and green building technologies.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
